Feis
Floors, was an idea born on St. Patrick’s Day in 2000, in of all places
a restaurant called Café Amici! The café’s owner, Deirdre O’Mara, also
teaches Irish dance and was having some of her students perform to the
fiddle of Brian Conway. The problem….a tile floor. The solution… her
husband, Canice Maguire! He made a temporary wooden floor. Then he painted
it and traced a Celtic design in gold. The result gave Canice and Deirdre
the idea of making personalized practice floors, to protect both knees
and homes everywhere! Feis Floors is the result of their combined efforts.
